There are 23 schools in the Moore County public school system: 

3 high schools,5 middle schools, 14 elementary schools, and 1 alternative school.

Students range in age from pre-K (3-year-olds) through 12th Grade; it is a college prep school dedicated to academic excellence, strength of character, physical well-being. 100% of graduating seniors are accepted to colleges, and the school does have financial aid available.

Sandhills Community College

On October 1, 1965, Sandhills Community College admitted it first students and became the first North Carolina community college to offer a transfer program for students desiring a four-year degree.  Currently, this fine college also offers many classes of interest to retirees in our community, continuing education courses, as well as online courses.  Residents of Moore County are both fortunate and proud to have such a fine community college in Pinehurst!  To learn more about the college and its programs,
